What is the filtration principle of dust collector cartridges?
Cartridge dust collectors work on the dual principle of surface filtration plus depth filtration. Dust-laden airflow enters the collector housing and, driven by negative pressure, passes through the cartridge media: large particles are intercepted on the cartridge's outer surface by gravity and inertial impaction, while fine particles are captured through sieving, adsorption and electrostatic attraction of the media fibers, and clean air passes through the cartridge and exits. As operation continues, an even dust cake forms on the cartridge surface, further improving fine-particle filtration efficiency — the "dust filters dust" effect — ensuring compliant dust emissions.
